NOTICE: MSIP TA Call on May 10

On Thursday, May 10, at 4:00 (EDT) CEC and NASDSE will conduct a webinar titled, “Automatic Spending Cuts Threaten Special and Gifted Education.” This one hour webinar will explore the provisions of the Budget Control Act which may result in automatic, across-the-board spending cuts in every education program on January 1, 2013. So as not to conflict with this webinar, MSIP will not hold its regularly scheduled monthly TA call on May 10. MSIP’s May TA call will likely be rescheduled. Once a decision has been made, we will provide you with details.

Slight Revision to Indicator B11 Optional Template

A revised Indicator B11 Optional Template has been posted. On page two of the document, item number one under "Correction of FFY 2009 Findings of Noncompliance...." has been changed to show that July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2010 is FFY 2009 and not FFY 2008. Revision to Part B Measurement Table

A revised version of the Part B Measurement Table was uploaded to this website after 7 pm on Thursday, December 15. A revision was made to Indicators 9 and 10 (pages 8 and 9) as follows:

In the middle column, under "Measurement," the third paragraph for Indicators 9 and 10 was changed to refer to the correct FFY. The text now reads: "Based on its review of the 618 data for FFY 2010, describe how the State made its annual determination that the disproportionate representation........."

All states will receive a message from Gregg Corr denoting this change.
